Nobody should feel like they are not valued, needed or wanted

The real truth is that there is a stigma behind people saying I’m lonely
Back in 2021 sadly my Grandmother (Hazel) sadly took her own life. This was a horrendous time for us all as you can image.
My nan was an incredible lady who served in the military, loved darts and her family.
However, during covid not only did we see her physical health decline rapidly so did her mental health.
After sustained periods of isolation, having no one to talk to, nothing to be excited for and only negative news to keep her afloat she found herself in a pit of despair with no way forward.
The real truth is that there is a stigma behind people saying I’m lonely and would love to have someone to talk to.
We need to raise awareness for this.
People who are seriously suffering will not talk and for too many people they make a decision that changes their lives and everyones around them.
I spoke to my nan 2 days before she sadly chose to take her own life, not a word of concern was mentioned and sadly I wasn’t able to change her outlook. I have one mission to change the outlook of everyone else feeling the same!
I thought this was purely a covid thing however after many months of research not only in local Sheffield Facebook groups but on a wider scale we have found that in the UK, loneliness and social isolation are significant issues among older adults who are retired and not in care homes.
Approximately 1.4 million people aged 65 and over report feeling lonely often, while an additional 2.9 million feel socially isolated.
Among those over 75, about one in three experiences loneliness regularly.
A fun, exhilarating and awareness raising experience
Periods without contact vary widely. Research indicates that many older adults can go days or even weeks without meaningful social interaction. Specifically, a 2019 survey by Age UK found that 225,000 older people reported going a whole week without speaking to anyone.

Thinking back to this moment and the root causes leading up to this event have ignited a fire in me, as we watched from a far my nan slowly deteriorating from to not get dressed on a daily basis, not wanting to leave the house due to anxieties and ultimately finding herself incredible isolated.
No body should feel like they are not valued, needed or wanted.

We are looking for anyone who is interested in working with us
We take people from retirement age out from the local community in a Lamborghini. We use this period to film and show the world that life can be exciting, give them something to talk about, connect them with other likeminded individuals and create long lasting valued relationships. We are on a mission to show that life doesn’t have to slow down at 60 in a full throttle exciting and innovative way.
Meet David a 75 year old retired true Lancashire salesman, who you will see in the video.
A few takeaways following Davids’s interaction.
He reached out to an old friend and connected after years, he connected with a neighbour on his street, where they have lived for 45 years and hadn’t truly met, now are striking up a fruitful friendship.
Life can be fun, getting people excited about living again and connecting them with other people who can influence this is our mission.
We are looking for anyone who is interested in working with us or can support us on gaining PR, local and national traction.
